The terms on which we publish this website and send messages to our members.

agudah.si is published by Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island, a religious congregation and 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation at 46 Birchard Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10314. Using this site means accepting what follows.
Zmanim and minyan times
We publish minyan times, zmanim and shiur schedules in good faith and keep them as current as we can. They change. A minyan moves for a levaya, a shiur shifts for Yom Tov, and the sheet on the door is the one that counts. Do not rely on this website for a time that matters — check with the shul.
Nothing on this site is a psak. Halachic questions go to our rav.
Text messages and WhatsApp
This is the programme we register with the mobile carriers, and these are its terms.

- Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island
- What we send
- Account messages to members who have given us a mobile number: notice that a statement is ready, receipts for payments, a warning before an automatic payment is taken, and yahrzeit reminders.
- How often
- Message frequency varies with your account. In an ordinary month it is none or one; it will not normally exceed a few messages a month.
- Cost
- We charge nothing for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier.
How you opt in
You opt in by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive messages — on a membership form, at the office, or on the family screen of our member portal, where the choice is yours to set and is never ticked on your behalf. We do not buy phone numbers and we do not add anybody to this programme who has not given us their number for the purpose.
Consent to receive messages is never a condition of membership, of paying dues, or of anything else the shul does.
How you stop
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop sending them. You can also tell the office, or set your preferences in the member portal.
Texts and WhatsApp are separate consents. Replying STOP to a text stops texts and leaves WhatsApp alone; stopping WhatsApp leaves texts alone. Stop either, both, or neither.
Stopping messages does not affect your membership, your account, or anything else. We will still write to you by post or email where we have to.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your handset, and we cannot guarantee that any particular message arrives.
How we handle the information behind all of this — including the fact that mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes — is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Donations and membership
Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island is recognised by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation, EIN 39-4600238. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donations are made to the shul and are generally not refundable. If something has gone wrong — a duplicate payment, a wrong amount, a charge you do not recognise — contact the treasurer at treasurer@agudah.si and it will be put right.
Membership dues and their terms are a matter between the member and the shul, and are not governed by this page.
This website
The content of this site belongs to Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island. You are welcome to read it, print it and share it. Do not present it as your own or use the shul’s name to suggest an endorsement we have not given.
We link to other organisations’ websites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain.
The site is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be available at any given moment or free of error, and we are not liable for any loss arising from relying on it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed.
